Classification – naturally sweet white wine, PDO Samos.
Grape variety – White Muscat 100%.
Vineyard – old high-altitude vineyards of Samos, at approximately 800–1100 m.
Vinification – overripe grapes are sun-dried for approximately 1–2 weeks before vinification without fortification. The wine then matures for 6 years in oak barrels.
Appearance – deep amber with orange hues.
Aroma – raisins, dried fruit, honey and dried nuts.
Palate – concentrated yet fresh, with toffee, raisins, walnuts, mature orange, clove and subtle smoky notes, supported by balanced acidity. Residual sugar: approximately 150 g/L.
Food pairing – sweet-and-sour dishes, baklava and nut pastries, chocolate or caramel desserts, roasted nuts, blue cheeses, mature goat cheeses and smoked cheeses.
Serving temperature – 12–14 °C.
