Alpha Ecosystem Pinot Noir Strofi, 14%, 0.75 L
Classification – dry red wine, PGI Florina.
Grape variety – Pinot Noir 100%.
Vineyard – single block “Strofi”, 1.41 ha, on the Amyndeon plateau at 619 m. Alluvial, sandy and sandy-clay soils over limestone provide excellent drainage.
Vinification – destemming, light crushing and cold soak with skin contact, followed by alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts from the specific block and regular pigeage. The wine remains on the lees for 8 months with regular stirring, then ages for 12 months in new Allier and Bertrange French oak and a further 12 months in bottle before release. Bottled without treatment or filtration.
Appearance – bright ruby with light red hints.
Aroma – wild berries, spiced black plum, raspberry and cocoa, with subtle oak notes.
Palate – intense and structured, with depth balanced by fresh acidity and site-driven minerality. Fine fruit, restrained oak and a polished texture lead to a persistent finish.
Food pairing – chicken, turkey, hare, pork tenderloin and game birds, grilled or served with refined sauces.
Serving temperature – 16–18 °C.
