Mylonas Savatiano Oak Matured, 12%, 0.75 L
Classification – dry white wine, PGI Attica.
Grape variety – Savatiano 100%.
Vineyard – vineyards in Olympos, Skinti Marthi and Keratea, at approximately 200–350 m, on limestone soils. The bush vines are more than 55 years old.
Vinification – hand-harvested grapes are cooled and destemmed, followed by approximately 6 hours of pre-fermentation skin contact at 10 °C. Fermentation takes place in oak and acacia barrels, followed by 6 months on the lees with regular stirring.
Appearance – bright lemon.
Aroma – complex aromas of peach, pear and citrus with white flowers and chamomile, layered with vanilla, tobacco, chocolate and mint.
Palate – full-bodied and balanced, with lively acidity, integrated oak and a complex, exceptionally long finish.
Food pairing – white meats, braised chicken, turkey, pesto pasta, stuffed zucchini blossoms, fried rice, buttery fish dishes, legume salads, green salads and goat cheese.
Serving temperature – 12 °C.
